The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G is finally launched in India with a new MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ Processor. It is the first Dimensity SoC in India. It competes with Snapdragon 765 5G and 865 5G.
The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G goes for sale at 35,990 in India. It is available only in one variant 8 GB Ram and 128 GB Rom and available in two colors Astral Blue and Starry Black. Oppo Reno 5 Pro is $13 more than its predecessor Oppo Reno 4 Pro. In the box, it contains a mobile, user manual, a 65W charger, USB Type-C earphones, and a USB Type-C cable.
Display and Design:
The Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Display which offers a 180Hz touch sampling rate and a 90Hz refresh rate. Oppo Reno 5 Pro is slim and light that offers an Excellent in-hand feel, measuring just 7.6 mm thickness and weighing about 176grams. Regarding build quality, Oppo offers a glossy frame that has a matte finish on it. Even though the frame is not metal it looks premium and feels good. Oppo places Power and Volume Buttons on opposite sides. The secondary noise cancellation mic is on top and at the bottom, we have a sim-tray, USB Type-C, and a speaker.
Camera Features:
Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G features a 64MP f/1.7 main camera, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide, 2MP f/2.4 macro, and mono lens, and has a 32MP front camera. It has some features like an ultra steady, ultra steady pro. The main camera offers good photos in daylight as well as in low light. Oppo featured a new "AI Highlight Video" which brings brightness in low light. It is capable of recording video in 4K 60fps and capable to record in 1080p for slow motion and front-camera.
Battery Specifications:
Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G offers a big 4350mAh battery that has a 65W Super Flash Charge (Super VOOC 2.0) fast charging. It can charge the mobile just in 30-35min. It can give backup up to 6-7hrs depending on your use case. For gamers, it may differ.
The Processor is capable to run Pubg, Call of Duty, free-fire at higher settings, and can give 60fps.
Verdict:
In my opinion, the price is more than I expected, when compared with Reno 4 Pro, Oppo has made Improvements in terms of build quality, especially by managing its weight and thickness. I loved its color, display, and In-hand feels. But Oppo should have given a headphone jack and stereo speakers.
So finally if you are looking for a High Refresh Rate Display, Good Video Quality, Fast charging my choice is Reno 5 Pro but for performance, my pick is Mi 10T Pro or One plus 8T.
